Stop Payment Notice – Partial Release of Stop Payment Notice

If a public entity, contractor or subcontractor provides partial payment in response to a stop payment notice, the claimant may issue a partial reduction or release of the stop payment notice. Like a full release, the partial release should only be issued after the claimant irrevocably receives the funds.
